As an Electrical Estimator, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to our mission of revolutionizing the construction industry.
This role requires a dynamic professional who is passionate about electrical systems and has a knack for cost estimation.
You will be working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, utilizing your expertise in electrical and lighting systems to provide detailed and accurate project estimates.
Responsibilities:
1.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive electrical cost estimates for various commercial and industrial projects.
2.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
3.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4.
Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
5.
Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
6.
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
7.
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
8.
Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
9.
Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
Qualifications:
1.
3
years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
2.
Proficient in electrical systems, lighting, and commercial and industrial electrical estimating.
3.
Strong knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques and a keen understanding of construction processes.
4.
Proven ability to prepare cost estimates at various levels of project design.
5.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
6.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
7.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
8.
Proficiency in computer software programs such as MS Office Suite, estimation software, etc.
9.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
