Summary:
Oversight of the company's financial operations, including managing the budgeting process, financial reporting, and ensuring the financial health of the organization.
The Controller will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and will work closely with the senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support and promote the company's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollDevelop and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, WIP analysis, project budgets and cash flow statementsManage the budgeting process, including preparing budgets, monitoring spending, and providing regular updates to senior managementDevelop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and protect company assetsAnalyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings, risk analysis, and increased efficiencyEnsure the company follows all relevant financial regulations and laws.
Work with external accountants to support preparation of tax returns and other required financial reports for third parties.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including bankers, auditors, and investors.
Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure the overall financial health and efficient operation of the company.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related fieldAt least 3-7 years of fiscal management experience, with experience in the construction industry.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a bonus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management, financial reporting and budgeting, and business Intelligence analysis software; and formulating financial dashboards.
Knowledge of financial regulations and laws, including GAAP and tax laws.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent computer skills.
